  • Clean your filters every month remove the filter from the indoor unit, rinse under water, let it dry fully and replace. Takes 5 minutes and makes a big difference to performance.
  • Check the outdoor unit make sure nothing is leaning against it or growing nearby. Weeds, plants or debris block airflow and reduce efficiency.
Once a Year · Professional Service
  • Book a full service every 12 months. A licensed technician cleans the coils, sanitises the system and checks refrigerant levels.
  • Regular servicing protects your 5-year manufacturer warranty and keeps running costs low.
  • Call Buggzy's each year to book your annual service.

⚠ Got a Problem? Troubleshooting & Warranty

Follow these steps before lodging any warranty claim.

Check the Mode

Make sure your unit is set to the right mode. In winter use HEATING, in summer use COOLING. Check your remote control or owner's manual.

Clean the Filters

Dirty filters are the #1 cause of poor performance. Remove filters, rinse under water, dry fully and replace. Also check nothing is blocking the outdoor unit.

Call Buggzy's First

If the issue continues after Steps 1 and 2, call Buggzy's before contacting the manufacturer. We must inspect the unit before any warranty claim can proceed.

Your 5-Year Warranty

All units include a 5-year manufacturer's warranty. Buggzy's must inspect the unit before a warranty request is lodged. Do NOT contact the manufacturer directly repair costs may be passed on to you.

We Handle the Paperwork

Once we confirm a warranty issue, Buggzy's lodges the claim and manages all paperwork from start to finish.

Important: Keep your invoice, Certificate of Electrical Safety and this guide together. You will need all three for any warranty claim.

? Frequently Asked Questions

Your split system requires two types of maintenance: Monthly D.I.Y clean the filters inside the head unit and ensure there is nothing leaning against or growing next to the outside unit. Once per year have your unit serviced and coils cleaned by an air-conditioning technician. This keeps the unit at peak performance and avoids voiding the manufacturer's warranty. Call Buggzy's Electrical each year to book.
Check your owner's manual or search the model number if you have lost the manual. If you are still struggling to understand its operation, call Buggzy's Electrical.
Relax this is perfectly normal! When your unit is working correctly it creates "condensate." This water is plumbed to the outside of your home so that it can evaporate near the unit or into the garden.
During days colder than 5 degrees, your unit may work harder than normal and the outdoor coils might ice up. This is perfectly normal your air conditioner will stop to let the ice melt, then continue again automatically.
For best efficiency and comfort, we recommend setting your unit between 20–22°C.
Try turning the unit off at the switchboard (SB) or isolator switch for 10 minutes, then turn it back on. If the error code persists, call Buggzy's Electrical on 0400 007 441.
